First time voter? Here's what you need to know:

If you're voting for the first time, this is what you need to know:

Who can vote?

First off, you've got to be registered (if you aren't sure if you are, drop us a line here, and we're happy to check for you).

You also need to be:

  • Aged 18 or over on polling day (Thursday 20th October)

And

  • A British or Irish citizen, or
  • A Commonwealth citizen who has leave to remain in the UK or who does not require leave to remain in the UK.

How do I vote?

This part is super easy. Just go to your polling station (not sure where it is? Get in touch and we'll let you know) tell the staff your name address.

They'll cross you off the list, you go into the booth, vote by putting a cross next to the candidate you're supporting and then pop your completed ballot paper in the box.

Voting

Who can I vote for?

You get one vote in this election for your new local MP.

We'd love it if you vote for Liz - and there's a tonne of great reasons to here: witneylibdems.org.uk/reasons but that bit is totally up to you.
