Mike Pighills & Max Thompson
Max Thompson moved to Abingdon with his husband after completing a DPhil in International Relations at Oxford University.
He currently works in professional military education, training the army on the international security environment and future challenges.
Max believes in the importance of local governance and empowering citizens to make their local communities better.
He wants to seek measures to ensure that the Vale of White Horse can rise to meet the financial challenges over the next four years.
Mike is a former engineer and has lived in Abingdon for 37 years.
He used to work for Nationwide building society, and now currently volunteers with the Citizens Advice Bureau, as well as working closely with Layla Moran MP.
Mike is a keen cyclist, and is very concerned about housing and infrastructure in the Vale of White Horse.
He also wants to focus on protecting our environment and the effects our actions will have on future generations.
