An Evening with the Wildlife Trust

People care passionately about nature and, with increasing pressures on the environment, this issue is rising up the political agenda. Tom Beckett, Director of External Affairs for the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT), will be talking about major threats to the environment locally and nationally, and presenting evidence of the tangible benefits of enhancing and protecting our environment. For example, they have evidence of the benefits to health and well-being of engaging with green space and will be able to explain what they are doing to preserve the natural environment around Oxford. Their work extends beyond nature reserves onto farmland and council-owned estates through to consultation on planning.

All are welcome to meet from 7.30pm, with Tom's presentation starting around 7.45pm followed by questions and a general discussion on what can be done to improve and protect the natural environment in and around Oxford. If you're interested in the environment or local governance, we expect this to be an interesting and engaging evening!
