Parish Council Candidates for Kidlington:
|St. Mary's Ward:|
I am a retired academic and have been a Kidlington resident for 20 years. I'm an experienced former Kidlington parish councillor and have served as an Oxfordshire magistrate.
I will always put the needs of Kidlington first, with the aim of making the community a better place to live and work.
I am currently a Parish Councillor for St Mary's Ward and I've served the Parish for many years, after retiring from Gosford Hill School where my teaching career spanned 33 years.
I've lived in Kidlington for nearly 52 years and have two grown daughters and four grandshildren.
I am a founding member of Kidlington Voice and have fought hard for increased funding for Kidlington and for better planning decisions.
Bringing my experience of advocacy and work with communities, I'll work with local residents to make Kidlington, Yarnton, and Begbroke an even better place to live.
I hope to raise a family in Kidlington, so working to ensure that the village, along with Yarnton and Begbroke, isn't overlooked by being a strong voice on the council is important to me.
I'd like to see improvements in our community facilities, including parks, housing and the environment.
I have been on the Parish Council for 18 years and have lived in Kidlington for nearly 52 years.
My main interest is in environmental issues, and I have chaired Kidlington in Bloom for many years, seeing the village consistently win Silver Gilt.
I was a librarian at Gosford Hill School before retiring.
I have lived in Kidlington for 44 years and been a parish councillor for 16 years. I have been Chair of the council for six.
I care passionately about Kidlington and I'm keen to see its identity protected from over-development and the Expressway.
I have supported facilities for young people and want to see more done to improve our surrounding environment.
If elected I will continue to fight for the residents of Kidlington.
As a former consultant for environment and infrastructure projects, I'd like to bring my experience in local development to ensure that Kidlington, Yarnton, and Begbroke get a good deal when it comes to expansion. This includes the much-needed infrastructure investment.
I live locally and care deeply about improving our local services, making Kidlington a better and more vibrant place to live.
As a councillor, I'll listen and make residents heard.
I have lived in Kidlington since 1993 and was a Cherwell District Councillor for six years.
My daughter and sons were all educated at Gosford Hill School, but can't afford to bring up their own children in the village.
I believe there should be more Kidlington homes for Kidlington people.
I have served as a Kidlington Parish Councillor for 21 years, including four as chair.
I am currently Chair of Kidlington Voice, working with community representatives and local businesses to achieve a vibrant village.
