The Liberal Democrats have increased their majority in Wolvercote ward by over 15%, at the City Council by-election which was held on Thursday 6th December.
The party ran a positive campaign, focusing on the hard work of the local team and the need to build more affordable homes, help Oxford’s homeless, fix the roads, invest in cycling and protect our place in the EU.
Residents backed former city councillor and retired local solicitor Liz Wade with a substantially increased margin:
Liberal Democrats: 998 (60.5%) +15.3%
Conservatives: 404 (24.5%) -5.3%
Labour: 162 (9.8%) -1.6%
Greens: 86 (5.4%) -8.2%
