BARONESS SUE GARDEN
DEPUTY CHAIR OF COMMITTEES, HOUSE OF LORDS
Baroness Sue Garden is currently the Deputy Chair of Committees in House of Lords, overseeing the select committee system that scrutinises the government. Sue is currently leading for the Liberal Democrats on two bills currently going through Parliament, one on Higher Education and one on Technical Education.
In addition to education, Sue's interests in the Lord's also include Defence, Employment and training and International affairs. She is particularly interested in Defence - as well as having spoken on behalf of the coalition government on defence matters herself, her late husband, Tim Garden, was the LibDem spokesperson on Defence in the Lord's and prior to that had served for 30 years in the RAF.
Sue plans to speak on the current priorities for the Liberal Democrats in the Lord's and about the two bills she is piloting through the Lord's before opening the floor to questions.
