Lib Dem leader at Abingdon Town Council, Samantha Bowring, said: "Introducing a Pride event was something the Lib Dems did when we took control of the town council two years ago. Last year we had to cancel because of the lockdown and this year’s event is postponed from the summer, so we are excited to finally host the event on Sunday."
It is a bring your own picnic event, tea and coffee will be provided, St Ethelwolds has beautiful riverside gardens and the weather forecast looks good.
Samantha said: "The Rainbow Flag is presently flying from the town flag pole. We are hoping that members of the community will come forward to take on Pride as a community event in Abingdon for future years."
With a weather forcast looking good, remember to bring your family and friends, smiles, sun shades, sun cream and picnic, tea and coffee will be availble.
