David lives in Bodicote, one of several villages comprising the Deddington area south of Banbury. As such he is keenly aware of the area’s rural needs, passionate about supporting local businesses, and dedicated to promoting sustainable, green initiatives that keep our communities thriving and their rural character intact. A writer and published author, David was previously a judge of the Deddington Festival children’s writing competition.
He wants to ensure opportunities for reading and learning are available to all and will fight to safeguard the county’s library provision as part of its investment in our youth. Formerly a civil servant dealing with business and local government, David settled in Bodicote in 2016. A keen hiker, he will often be found walking or running in the fields around our villages. As councillor, he will seek to protect our precious shared landscape from intrusive over-development that fails to include appropriate infrastructure and will champion the county’s public rights of way.
