James lives locally and works with the Armed Forces at the Defence Leadership Centre, having previously served as a Royal Navy Officer for nearly 20 years.
Locally James is active as Vice-Chairman of his Parish Church Council and works hard on his Village Action Committee and is involved in local fundraising initiatives.
A keen gardener, James plays cricket for his village, can often be seen out walking his dog in the area, and is a fine cook (with ice cream from his home-grown fruit a speciality!).
Having lived in the district for many years, James understands its needs first hand and pledges to put our villages first.
