Thames Water have been dumping sewage waste into the River Thames for quite some time now even in dry weather when it’s illegal to do so.
Wolvercote resident Jo Sandelson was absolutely disgusted by the waste she saw being pumped into her local river and organised a demonstration against it.
National and local media carried the story.
Jo is the Liberal Democrats’ candidate in Wolvercote for this year’s local elections.
She’s the best-placed candidate, working alongside local MP Layla Moran, to get the pollution problem fixed. She will help hold Thames Water to account and ensure they are properly regulated by a better-funded Environment Agency.
So join her in calling on Thames Water to clean up their act and stop polluting the River Thames.
