Other Kidlinton Issues

  • District Council
    • Pressing for Civil Parking Enforcement in Begbroke, Kidlington and Yarnton
    • Worked with Thames Valley Police to identify illegal and dangerous parking in the ward
    • Worked with the Tory County Councillor to arrange for the green space on Wise Avenue owned by KPC to be fenced off to prevent parking
    • Worked with other District councillors, Thames Water and MP to address flooding issues in Kidlington
    • Acted as an advocate for families whose children have been assaulted in Exeter Close, including two racially aggravated assaults.

    • 5 councillors of a total 15 councillors. Despite being a minority we hold the following positions on the Council

      • Represented on all committees and on several working groups

    • Co-op Appeal
      • Represented the Council at the appeal hearing
    • New Exeter Close Play Area
      • Supported the proposals to provide the new play area at Exeter Close funded by capital raised by the previous LibDem Council
    • Tree Planting and Floral Features
      • Persuaded the council to provide tree planting in the High street in the flower tubs to break up the monotony of the high street and additional trees along the Oxford and Banbury Roads
      • Chaired In Bloom group has been successful in securing national silver award.

      • Pressing for Civil Parking Enforcement so as to ensure more effective enforcement by traffic wardens
