Liz has lived in Charlbury for 20 years. Following Lib Dem success in May 2021 elections, she is now Leader of Oxfordshire County Council, in a 'Fair Deal Alliance' with Labour and the Greens, as well as representing Charlbury and Finstock on West Oxfordshire District Council.
Liz runs a business from her home in Park Street with her husband, Mike. She is a founder member and former director of Southill Solar, and helped to set up the community-owned solar farm between Charlbury and Finstock. Until recently she was a trustee of the West Oxfordshire Citizens' Advice Bureau, and Young Dementia UK Homes.
Locally, she has succeeded in getting new school crossing lights installed at Wychwood Primary School, and has been active in making sure that our roads are properly maintained. She played a leading role in getting the new 210 bus service up and running in the Wychwood villages, in partnership with West Oxfordshire Community Transport. She also lead the campaign for a 20mph speed limit in Charlbury town centre.
