Lucinda Chamberlain is standing in the Oxfordshire County Council elections on 4 May 2017 as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the county division of University Parks.
Lucinda says, "I’m currently a final year student at Brasenose, and I am very excited to be running to be your County Councillor this May. I want to make a difference on the county council, and do all I can to work for an area I have come to know and love these past few years. In my free time I like movies, crafts and tortoises.
Housing and homeless
I’ll start by fighting to repeal the Labour’s homeless fine, while also getting a county-wide approach to housing.
Mental health
I’m passionate about mental health and will campaign hard for parity of esteem as well as greater funding.
Oxford & Europe
Brexit will be very harmful to Oxford and the UK. I will fight to protect essential research funding, and the interests of non-UK EU citizens."
