Meet your Lib Dem PCC candidate: Zoom Q&A with Cllr John Howson

I would like to invite you to a Q&A on Police and Crime Commissioner issues with Cllr John Howson, to kickstart his 2021 campaign.

John Howson is an Oxfordshire County Councillor and is a specialist in crime and education. He is a former teacher with experience of violence in schools, having been stabbed while on duty in Tottenham. For 22 years he served as a Magistrate in Oxfordshire alongside his career in education.

John will discuss his key campaign messages of increasing victim support, stopping discrimination in stop and search, delivering value for money and increasing crime detection rates. This will be followed by a chance to ask your questions.

Now is the perfect time for us to be putting forward a liberal vision for policing and to make the argument for creating a police service not a police force.
