ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
AND POLICY DEBATE
13 OCTOBER 2017 AT 7:00PM FOR 7:15PM
ST. MARGARET'S INSTITUTE
Oxford City Branch of the Oxford West & Abingdon Liberal Democrats is holding its Annual General Meeting at 7:15pm on Friday 13 October 2017 at St. Margaret's Institute, 30 Polstead Road, Oxford, OX2 6TN.
There will be a short business meeting to report back on the last year and to elect new officers and committee members to take things forward.
The formal meeting will be followed by a Policy Debate with a difference: a selection of policies from the Labour, Conservative, UKIP and Green Party Autumn Conferences will be presented to the meeting for discussion and debate, followed by a round of voting around which policies ideas might have some value and which should be placed in the metaphorical waste paper bin. This should provide some interesting food for thought for our own policy development as well at the same time providing an opportunity for some amusement at the expense of the other parties (and perhaps some other emotions too).
The Policy Debate will be followed by a buffet supper at £10 per head, including wine with the meal.
Everyone is very welcome to join us for the AGM and the Policy Debate, although only Liberal Democrat members living in the Oxford City Branch area can vote in the AGM.
We don't need to know if you are coming to the meeting, but we do need to know if you plan to stay on for supper, so that we cater for the right number of people.
Please could you therefore let us know if you are planning on joining for supper by phoning or emailing Heather Bliss on (01865) 554 063 or [email protected]. Do let us know if you need a vegetarian meal or if you have any other dietary requirements and we will do our best to meet them.
