Come and hear Councillor for St Margaret's, Paul Harris, talking on the topic:
"Why I am proud of the Liberal Democrats in Government".
From 2010 to 2015 the Liberal Democrats were in Government for the first time since World War 2, as the minority in coalition with the Conservatives.
Their time in Government has been controversial. The coalition implemented painful austerity measures and raised student fees, which Lib Dems had promised not to increase. Paul Harris will speak on why, despite this, he thinks there is much to be proud of in the Liberal Democrat efforts in Government.
This event is being jointly organised by the Oxford Branch of Oxford West & Abingdon Liberal Democrats and the Oxford East Liberal Democrats.
All are welcome to attend - just RSVP below.
